Once there was a man named Saky Amuni who lived in India. While meditating one day he discovered that good would be rewarded with good, and evil with evil. "Awakened One", which means Buddha, is what he then became. People who follow the teachings of Buddha believe people are born over and over again in higher or lower states as humans, animals, or insects. If you live a life of good deeds then your next life will be a good one but if you live an evil life then your next life is sure to be full of suffering and misfortune.
