The Piedmont Region is located in the central part of the state. Its width is from the boarder of Alabama to the boarder of South Carolina. Piedmont is separated from the southern region by the fall line. The fall line is the point at which hills of mountainous lands meet the Coastal Plain. Piedmont is made mostly of igneous and metamorphic rocks and is known for its red Georgia clay. |
