The vegetation in the Appalachian plateau mostly depend on the elevation of the area, but the Appalachian oak forest cover most of the region between 800 and 1,200 meter you will start to see your hardwoods like basswood, sugar, maple, tulip poplar, beech, birch, and hemlock. More than 1,200 meter northern species of evergreen and shrubs paper in the forest. On the forest floor you may see rhododendrons, native azaleas, and mountain laurel. |
