Tree farms: Where money grows on trees
I have heard of animal farms, vegetable farms, and even wind farms, but a farm for trees? Of course!!! Tree farms raise pine and hardwoods for money. Many tree farms are found in the south where there is a dry time of the year and a rich wet season. Tree farms bring in a lot of money, but they are more like a share in a stock market, growth and health of the trees are not for sure. Likewise, money is not a sure thing either. If a strong storm or flood kills the trees, then you are out of luck, you probably lost more money than you spent for the pines because the older a tree is, the more it is worth.
