Screech Owl
There are many different types of owls.
Screech owls live in gardens, orchards, and in forests. They make their nests in
tree hollows. If humans come too close to
wild Screech Owls they will attack. They come in many
different varieties of colors such as gray, brown and a
reddish color too.
The Great Horned Owl
It lives pretty much any where even in
human residential areas. It likes to make nests in
cliffs. It may make a nest in an old hawk's nest or
crow's nest.
Barred Owl
This type of owl is found in damp woods and swamp
forests. It roosts in tree foliage and comes out at night like
most owls do. Barred Owls usually nest in tree hollows.
Saw-Whet Owls
The saw-whet owl is found in conifers and other
evergreens.
They can be very tame when they are approached at roosting
place in daylight. One of it's main foods is rodents such as
mice and rats.
