The Eagle
Eagles are on
the
endangered list, because farmer's pesticides.
The eagles couldn't lay it's eggs because of the pesticides. The poisons
from the pesticides
would make the shell soft so the shell would brake when the weight of the female
eagle would sit on it. Another reason is the chick
would die in the egg. It takes awhile for for the pesticides to go
away. The birds will slowly recover after that's happened.
The Bald Eagle is our
country's national
bird. It mainly lives by the coast down in
the south of the U.S. It likes to eat rodents
and other small animals, also fish. They
have nests that are in trees or on top of huge
cliffs, because the nest is 10 feet in diameter!
