Defense of the United States.

Navy, and Secretary of Defense.

The Pentagon lies on the west bank of the Potomac in Arlington,

It was built by the Army engineers from 1941 to 1943 at a

This five sided building in the shape of a pentagon was designed
by George Edwin Bergstrom.
