Independence Hall

Independence Hall is located in Philadelphia.

Patriots met here in May, 1775 for the Second Continental
Congress.

The patriots chose George Washington as Commander in Chief
of the Continental Army.

On July 4, 1776 John signed the Declaration of Independence
that the patriots had created to declare their freedom from England.

The Liberty Bell rang from the bell tower in the building
on July 8, 1776. This signified the reading of the Declaration of
Independence to the citizens.
