Marisa

        Hi, my name is Marisa, and I am 11 years old.  I am in the sixth grade, and attend the Pearl River Middle School.  I have a brother named Stephen, who I love so much along with my mom Nancy, and my Dad, Phil. I love to dance, and do ballet and tap.  I was just promoted up to technique class, which is a class were they pick you for demi-point, to go onto point.  I have two dogs, a turtle, a frog, a fish, a pond, and I used to have a guinea pig.  I am crazy about animals.  I also love to ride. (Horse Back Riding Lessons.)  I have one horse, and am getting another one.  I take riding lessons at Silver Rock Farm, and am a counselor at the barn and am in charge of groups of kids, by myself.  I am also a counselor at Country Day Camp.  My birthday is on July 3^rd, and I was born a day early.  I am kind of glad though that I am not a fourth of July baby. I also play the piano and violin.  I love school, and I love learning about new things.  That’s one of the reasons as to why I entered this contest.  It is teaching me many new things, and getting me more familiar with the computer.  This is basically what I enjoy, and a little bit about me.

Kristin

        My name is Kristin and I live in Tappan, New York.  I am twelve years old and am in the sixth grade.  I go to Pearl River schools.  My favorite thing to do is to work on the computers, because they are wonderful and provide a valuable experience.    I love to dance, especially Irish step dancing.  I also like to shop.  I like this project because it is fun and educational.  I hope to join again next year.  The best part of this project is going on the trips, and experiencing it for yourself.  I feel that I understand the project better, when you experience it for yourself.

Lauren

      Hi my name is Lauren.  I am 12 years old. I love playing soccer, swimming, and horseback riding. I live in Pearl River, NY with my mom dad and little sister, Elizabeth. I have a 15 year old dog named Rudi. I like the New York Mets, not the Yankees. I am part of the Local History Think quest team. I did the recreation part of the web page. I enjoyed doing the think quest site because I knew that many people would enjoy learning about Pearl River. 

Arielle

        Hi. My name is Arielle. I am 11 years old and I go to Pearl River Middle School. I have many Hobbies. I like to swim and eat Easy Mac. I enjoy listening to music such as Blink-182, Green Day, Sum 41 and Good Charlotte. I take a theatre class and sleep a lot. I like to go on the computer and go on AOL. I have a little Jack Russell Terrier named Cosette. I like doing this project because it was interesting to learn more about my hometown.  

Andrew

                   Hello, my name is Andrew I am 11 years old and attend the Pearl River School systems in the 6^th grade. Some of my favorite hobbies are ice hockey, roller hockey, snowboarding, skateboarding, and playing my instruments. I also like punk-rock music a lot my favorite bands are Blink-182, Green Day, MxPx, Papa Roach, The Offspring, and Linkin Park. I enjoy doing this project because I have a chance to learn more about the town I grew up in.  

Alyssa

    Hello, my name is Alyssa. I am 12 years old and I'm in the 6th grade at the Pearl River Middle School. My favorite bands are Linkin Park and Blink- 182. I like to go shopping just about anywhere and I like to go onto AOL to talk to a special "someone," lets not mention names! I play basketball, soccer, softball, tennis and lacrosse, but my favorite is basketball. I have 6 people in my family, my mom, my dad, my two sisters Lindsey and Lauren, my bother Mike, and my dog Bella. I used to have another dog, Farfy, but she died on the 4 of July from a heart attack caused by the fireworks. I also used to have a fish named Herbert but he committed suicide, and a hamster named Hammie but he died on Christmas. I guess you can say I'm not very good with animals! I also have a best friend named Maren Lord. We want to be accepted to a private boarding school called "Peddie!" I liked doing this project because I learned many fun and factual things about Pearl River and its history.

Kira

        Hello, my name is Kira.  I am 11 years old and I am in 6^th grade at Pearl River Middle School.  I have many hobbies.  I enjoy singing, acting, dancing, horseback riding, soccer, watching television, listening to music, eating, going on AOL, and shopping.  I am involved with theatre groups in Rockland County.  I love doing musicals with the Helen Hayes Youth Theatre.  My family consists of my mom, my dad, my sister and my 2 dogs named Ollie and Melissa.    I like doing this project because I get to interview interesting people.
