Newton

Newton was a great mechanical scientist of his time. Newton’s ideas
about motion and force mostly still have great value today. Newton proposed his
law of gravitation in 1687. Newton said that it takes a force to slow down,
speed up, or change the path of an object. Newton’s law of gravitation was the
first theory to accurately describe the motion of objects on earth and the
planetary motion that astronomers had observed. Newton’s law led to the
discovery of planet Neptune. From
1687 to 1905 people around the world believed this to be true.
In his theory time was the same everywhere. Newton thought
time was a place that you could travel to. He believed time existed whether
people experienced it or not.
Although Newton’s theories of gravity are still widely held
Einstein’s Theory of Relativity would end up proving him wrong, as far as time
is concerned.
