Interview with an Architect

Below is the typed version of the interview between myself and Mr. Acocella. He is a Pearl River architect. He has seen many changes throughout the years in architecture and i was lucky enough for him to tell me something about it. he told me about the way that homes in the future will be much larger. One of the major things will be bathrooms. They will be as big as a child's bedroom from a couple of years ago. He also has observed that the master bedrooms will maybe even be twice the size they are today. For the most part, beside the huge advancements in technology, houses in the future will be much larger.

Me:  What is the average size of houses today?

Mr. A:  2,500 2 ft of the older houses that still exists today but the new houses are at least twice that size. People today want their houses to be larger. They can either buy new houses or make an extension.

  2)  Are people making different type or styles of houses as time goes by?

We will always have the Traditional and the Colonial homes that will never change.

  3)    Are there certain rooms that houses of the future will most likely have?

One of the rooms that most houses will have is an exercise or fitness rooms. All the rooms will be larger especially the master sweet.
