How to Make a Friend
Are you having trouble finding friends? Need some advice? We have all the answers on making friends for ages 8-12.
When making a friend you must always be nice and listen, even if the conversation is boring. Treat people with kindness and always forgive them. Also remember to be true to yourself and others. If you could try to be humble and modest. Nobody likes a bragger.
Even though being honest is the best way toward a good friendship, a little white lie could be o.k. For example, if your friend is sick tell them that they look better even if they don’t, or if you two were in a fight, tell them that you are sorry and you were wrong even if you think you were right. A little white lie could go a long way. Here are some other ways you can make a friend:
make them feel welcome, try to also let them feel comfortable
around you
if you are shy or you don’t know what to say you could tell them
about yourself, let them get to know you. Then ask them about them.
if you feel the conversation is getting boring,
try a fun
activity like drawing or riding bikes.
don’t be afraid (or shy) to get to know someone. Start with
telling them your name and some interests of yours and who knows? You might
become really good friends.
