SOFTBALL

PITCHING-

•When you are in a younger aged group you do not pitch by yourself usually your coach pitches for you.

•When you are a lot older you pitch by yourself and your coach is there to teach you how to pitch.

BASES-

•There are four bases first base second base and third base plus there is home base.

•You hit the ball at home and the run to first second and then third and if you make it home you get a point.

Points-

•You get one point for getting one person to home base.

PLAYERS-

•There are about 9-10 people on the softball field.

•They are….

•Pitcher,catcher,1st,2nd,3rd bases,shortstop,3 outfielders plus the coach the softball team can have a lot more than 10 players.

THE GLOVE-

The glove is very important part of the game of softball you use it to catch the ball.

THE BAT-

•The bat is used to hit the ball it also is a very important part of the game.

THE BALL-

•The ball is made of some material in the middle and leather on the out side and there is string to hook the leather to the material. The ball is also a very important part of the game.

THE POINT OF THE GAME-

•The Point of the game is to score as many points as possible.

FUN FACTS-

•Babe Ruth wore a cabbage leaf under his cap for good luck !

•Weird but it is really true!!

Its Out Of There-

The longest major league game was between the Boston Braves and The Brooklyn Robins. The game was 8 hours and 22 minutes it lasted 26 innings and they called a draw and it was 1-1!
