Breeding
In September, the males return to their breeding colonies 2 weeks before the females. Often there is fighting over nest sites. The nests are made up of a couple of stones and a little mud. They lay two eggs, and the first one usually dies. The chicks leave their parents in February, and the adults return to sea in March.
