Pluto
Pluto was named for the Roman God of the Underworld. Clyde Tombaugh discovered it in 1930. Pluto is the smallest planet, and it is made of solid material instead of gas. Pluto’s orbit is also odd. It is so elliptical (oval) that sometimes it crosses paths with Neptune and becomes the eighth planet and Neptune the ninth! There is no chance of a collision, though. No space probe has reached Pluto, so this planets mysteries are safe for now. What will we find if we get there? What else is out there? Who else is out there? I don’t know, but I’d sure like to find out!
