The group were friends of people who wanted to sing and play music. So they started a band, and called it "Smash Mouth." Greg thought up of some songs and they practiced and practiced all day long. Well, all that work paid off. They officially became a band. They became a big hit and sold millions of albums. "Smash Mouth" became the Kids Choice Awards. So,that's how "Smash Mouth" came to be.
