- The scientific name of the pilot whale is Globicephala Meleane.
- Their diet is squid and other small fish.
- The life span of these whales is around 30 to 40 years.
- Pilot whales weigh 3 tons and are 18-20 feet long when fully grown.
- They are actually in the Dolpin family and the largest of it too!
- They are black with a white tip on their underside.
