Ben Mikaelsen
Ben Mikaelsen has been writing since he was a little boy. His parents were not very supportive, but he kept on writing. His book, Stranded, was written in 1995. It was nominated for many awards. Other books that Ben has written include: Rescue Josh McGuire, Sparrow Hawk Red, and Petey. His latest book, Red Midnight, will be out soon. Ben has been writing for publication about 17 years and hopes to write for many years to come.
Ben makes his home in a log cabin near Bozeman, Montana. He lives with his wife, Melanie, and a large bear! The bear's name is Buffy. Ben got Buffy because he didn't want to see him be put to sleep. Buffy still hibernates and is in the wild, but Ben supplies most of the food that Buffy needs.
