Theatre Design

Wow, those theatres look big, and you are probably wondering what the heck the designer/architect was thinking when he designed it.  Well, today you will learn.

When designing a theatre, an architect has to consider how high the ceilings will be to know what kind of base the walls will be made of.  They also must think about the height so they can  decide approximately the number of large lights, small lights, and emergency lights.

Architects also consider the flooring because carpet wouldn't be easy for the janitors to clean!  The stage flooring is also important because tile floor would be very easy to slide across if you are a dancer!  If there are more than two floors in the  building, the the upper flooring matters, too, and also the ceiling of the first floor.  You wouldn't want the other floor to fall through the ceiling!

There's many more things the designers have to think about when making a blueprint of a theatre, such as the curtains, the lighting floor, and so much more!  To learn more, go to www.allexperts.com and ask an expert!
