Want a feather in your cap?
Number patterns are a snap!
To solve them's easy; that's a fact...
Just learn to count, add, or subtract!

I like working with numbers because there are so many patterns that I understand. When you count, you add one each time, unless you're counting by twos, or threes. Counting is nothing more than adding. Want to try some easy ones?

Sometimes, the pattern does two things. It might go up three and down one every other time, like 14, 17, 16, 19, 18, 21, 20...

Or, it could go up three and down one every step! We put these kinds of patterns into tables called function rules. So, in the first column, the rule is multiply by 2, subtract 3.
