Aim for the Middle of the Target!!

Archery

Archery is an ancient sport. The first organized game took place in 1583 in Finsbury, England. The sport was very popular in ancient times. It still is pretty popular in the country now. Archery is a game where you shoot an arrow at a target. The target has different point values.

To shoot the arrow, players must be in a standing position. One of their feet is in front of the starting line and the other one is behind the starting line. Another way to do it is to have both feet directly on the starting line. When somebody gives the signal, the players can shoot. If the archers shoot before the signal, or after it stops, the arrow that earned the most points will not count.

Archers have to try to hit the middle of a target. If the arrow lands on two colors or a line, the higher point value is counted. The target is made of straw mat. It has a canvas target face. The target has five color zones. The center is gold, then blue, then black and then white. The center gold color is worth ten points. There is a picture of the target below
