The new Big Three meet in
Potsdam to discuss the Post-war world on July 17, 1945. President Roosevelt of
America had died just days before the Battle for Berlin and Vice President Harry
Truman was at Potsdam in his place. Winston Churchill had been defeated in reelection campaign just
days before the conference and his successor, Clement Attlee, was their in his place. Stalin was the only original member of the Big Three present
and was able to get his way on most issues.
Truman and Stalin were able to work out an agreement that said the
soviet forces will enter the War in the Pacific on August 15.
