On June 10, 1940 the dictator of Italy declared war on France and Great Britain. This decision is probably the right move for Italy. Great Britain and France are being defeated by the Germans at the attle of Flanders. Intel tells us that Mussolini has been thinking that the war will be over soon and that France and Great Britain will surrender. It seems that Mussolini was right about France because they surrendered on June 25. He was wrong about Great Britain surrendering because the new Prime Minister is Winston Churchill. Winston Churchill is rallying against Germany and Italy's Fascist Government. It seems that Italy is preparing slowly but they are preparing to help in the war against the British by attacking British colonies in Africa. Mussolini has come up with the idea of cutting all trade links to Asia. He is also trying to block reinforcements from India, Australia, and New Zealand.

During April Benito Mussolini was trying to escape from Italy with a German truck convoy and was murdered. This has brought Italy into this bloody war without a leader in charge to help take away some of the decision making. Two days after Mussolini was murdered one of Hitler's commanding officers, Vietinghoff, agreed to unconditional surrender which put Hitler in the position of having Berlin surrounded by Russia.
