The beginning of Hitler's attacks of Great Britain was started on July 16, 1940 when Hitler ordered an invasion of Great Britain. This would be one of the most difficult attempts in capturing Great Britain due to its great navy and the distance across the channel. The Royal Air Force has blocked the German Operation of Sea Lion to the point that none of the Germans can get to the shores of Great Britain. The many attacks on London were very less destructive due to the new invention of radar. It was also very difficult for the Luftwaffe fighters to get closer to London because of the lack of protection offered by the shrinking Luftwaffe force. All battles that were fought were pretty small because of the large area that separated Great Britain from the German head headquarters. The largest mission that has commenced the attack of 900 single engines, 300 double engines and about 1,300 bombers that were planning on surrounding parts of Great Britain.

This battle for Great Britain has been raging on for several years. Now it  that has started in June of 1940 and finally has ended during the winter of 1941. The invention of radar detection gave the British the upper hand in pushing the Germans away from major cities. For example, in London on August of 1940 the Germans put their plans into action and started to attack the British.
