The Juvenile Justice System
Young American juveniles are from the age of ten to eighteen. In every state ther is a juvenile justice system that concerns youthful lawbreakers.The juvenile court is much different than the adult court such as there is a jury in most adult cases, but in juvenile cases there is not. The juvenile justice systems of the states are intended for the prosicution. The trial is not depended on the juveniles age but the crime. The process of juvenile cases is arrest, hearing, and sentencing.

Procedure in Juvenile Cases
Arrest
#1 The juvenile is arrested and notified of the charges.
#2 The parents of the juvenile suspect are noteified of arrest.
#3 Juvenile is sent home or juvenile dention facilty.
Hearing
#4 Juvnile suspect and parents meet with lawyer, arresting officer, and judge.
#5 Both sides question witness.
Sentencing
#6 Judge weights evidence and determines guilt or innocense.
#7Juvenle defendant is found guilty and is sentenced by judge to probation, juvenile dention center, or prison depending on the broken law.
#8 Juvenile defandant is found innocent and is free to go.
