MORE OF  IDA'S FAVORITE RECIPES
 

 SWEET AND SOUR SPARE RIBS

Ingredients:

  1.1lb pork spare rib
  2.6tsp of ketchup
  3.2tsp of soy sauce
  4.6tsp of sugar
  5.4 slices of ginger
  6.4tsp of cooking wine
  7.2 cups of cooking oil
  8.¼ cup of flour
  9.¼ cup of corn starch

Steps:

  1.Boil the ribs with wine and ginger for 5 minutes
  2.Take them out and let them dry for 10 minutes
  3.Mix the flour and starch with 1 cup of water
  4.Heat the oil
  5.Dip the ribs in the flour mixture and put a few pieces at a time into the hot oil
  6.Fry each one for 1 minute
  7.When all are fried discard the oil
  8.Put all the ribs back to the pan and add ketchup, soy sauce and sugar
  9.After cooking for 2 minutes it’s ready to serve



 PRESERVED EGGS

Ingredients:

  1.1 pack of preserved eggs (All the Chinese grocery stores carry that)
  2.4tsp of soy sauce
  3.1tsp of sesame oil

Steps:

  1.Peel the egg shell
  2.Use a knife to slice each egg into 4 pieces
  3.Before eating, dip the piece in the soy sauce and sesame oil mixture
