How to Make Chicken Pulao (fried rice)

Hi! IÕm Tehreem and I come from Pakistan. In my country, Chicken Pulao is a popular type of food.

Ingredients

4 cups of rice
2 pounds of chicken
2 medium sized onions
6-8 cloves of garlic
Strawberry sized ginger
a stick of cinnamon
10-12 black peppers
2 tablespoons of fennels seeds
2 tablespoons of coriander
Salt for taste
Procedure

First soak the rice and put it aside. Then in a large pot, pour 6 cups of water. Wash the chicken and add it. After you do that, cut an onion into dices and add it the pot with all of the other ingredients (except rice). Boil it in high flame, then lower the flame into very little heat. Let it stay there for 2 hours. Then take it out of the stove, and separate the chicken from broth. Strain the broth so everything is out of it. Take another onion and chop it thinly. In a pot, add about 2 serving spoons of oil and browned onion. When the onions are lightly brown, add chicken pieces over it. Then when you boil strain rice and add it. When you see bubbles on it, it means the water is absorbed. Cover it with foil paper, and lower the flame to very low. Let it stay for ten minutes. Serve it hot.
