How to Make Falafels

    Hi my name is Tarek. I have a delicious recipe for a food called falafels. It comes from the Middle East and some parts of Africa. There are many kinds of ways to make it, but this is the way my family makes it.

Ingredients
1. 1 pound of dry chick peas or dry fava bean
2. 1 cup of chopped parsley
3.  3 cloves of garlic
4. 1 egg
5. 1/2 teaspoon of salt
6. 1/2 teaspoon of pepper
7. A pinch of baking soda and powder

Procedure

Step 1. Soak the dry chickpeas or dry fava beans in cold water over-night.
Step 2. Drain out of water.
Step 3. Peel off the skin on the chickpeas or fava beans.
Step 4. Mix all the ingredients in a food processor until the texture is not so rough but not that soft.
Step 5. Form the mixture into equal size balls.
Step 6. Deep-fry the balls of mixture.
 


Tip: You can eat this delicious food with pita bread and tahina sauce!
