Recipe for Chicken Curry
This is a recipe for chicken curry that my mom learned to make in Guyana. This recipe is very often made in my house. I think it tastes very good.
You will need
A pan
The ingredients are
1 pound chicken (with or without bone)
1/2 onion
1 teaspoon curry powder
1 chicken cube
1 teaspoon mixing masala
2 teaspoon vegetable oil
2 cloves of garlic
Touch of salt, adobo, blackpepper
Preparation
Wash chicken with lime or vinegar. Mix curry powder, mixing masala, and chicken cube together. Blend garlic and onion together.
The cooking
Put oil in pan over heat. When oil is hot pour in garlic and onion for about a minute. Pour in the mix with the curry powder, mixing masala, and the chicken cube. Stir all this together in pan for two minutes. Add chicken, salt, adobo and blackpepper. Cover pan and allow all the water from the curry to dry out. Then add water for gravy and make sure chicken is boiled. Make sure gravy is thick. Curry can be served with white rice or roti.
