SLAVE REBELLIONS
Slave owners worried about slave rebellions since the beginning of slavery America. Stories about slave rebellions on slave ships and success of slave revolution in Haiti scared the North American slave owners. But, the slaves in North America had little chance of success. They were separated from their families, had no weapons, and no place to run. For slaves, rebellion was death. Many slaves thought it was better to fight and die than to live as slaves. In our history there were many slave rebellions. Most ended with slaves being caught or killed, but they spread the word of slavery being wrong and cruel and helped end the slavery in America.
