Overview:Artists use a variety of methods and materials to create works of art.  Artists usually work independently, choosing whatever subject matter and medium suits them.  Artists generally work with two-dimensional art forms.They use techniques of shading, perception, and color-mixing.

Overview:Musicians may play many different instruments such as string, brass or percussion.  All musicians spend a lot of time practicing to make their music sound alive.

Overview: Playwrights use a selection of ways coming up with ideas for plays. They work with lots of different kinds of people including directors, producers and actors..

Schooling: Formal training requirements do not exist for artists, but it is very difficult to become skilled enough to make a living without some basic training. But some keep a portfolio for future events. 

Schooling: Some dancers may become choreographers who create new and original dance routines which they teach to performers and sometimes direct. Dancers/choreographers who teach in public schools must be certified like other teachers. 

Schooling: Musicians need extensive and prolonged training and schooling to acquire necessary skills. This training may be obtained through private study with an accomplished musician or in a college or university. Musicians who teach need to have a state teacher's certificate and a degree in music. If you teach at a college you need advanced degrees.

Schooling: May want to do English literature in college if possible;this will help you to prepare for future playwriting. If you major in this then your future plays may make it big.

Salary: Varies greatly.
