Overview: An insurance agent is a person that sells insurance to people that protects their lives, property, car etc. They advise people of the type of policy they need to protect them from financial loss.
Schooling: If you want to become an insurance agent, you should have graduated college and majored in either business,economics, finance or experience in accounting.. You may also be a high school graduate with proven sales ability or who have been successful in other types of work. You usually start as a trainee or an assistant.
Salary: There is a large salary range in the field of insurance sales. It all depends on the type of insurance agent you are. The salary can be anywhere from $35,920-$46,320 per year.
