Overview:
Computer programmers write detailed instructions that list, in a logical
order, the steps the computer must follow to organize information, solve
problems or complete some other task. Computer programmers test the
operations for their programs to be sure the instructions they have
written are correct and will give the requested and desired information.
If any errors occur, the programs have to be changed and rechecked continually
until the written programs give the correct results. Programmers also
prepare instruction sheets for the computer operators who will be running
the programs. These instructions must be user friendly
they should not vague and should have an easily followed, step-by-step
procedure for the operator.
Schooling: No degree is required to become a programmer although
it would be a good idea to have one. Some employers may prefer a degree
