President Bush said Saturday, March, 16, 2002, that American children  have earned $4.5 million to help the young children of Afghanistan. The money was raised when he asked every American child to earn $1 and send it to the White House. He said most of the money is used for school supplies such as pencils, notebooks, crayons, and soccerballs. They will be studying about math, science, Islam, and friendship.
