This kind of clown gets it's name from the white base they they put on their face first. Within the white face are two kinds of clowns. One came from Europe. The main colors are red and black. The second kind of clown (in the white face group) Is the Comedy White face. It has developed in the last century. Like the neat white face, this clown has a basic coat of white makeup. But the features are larger in size. They are also darker. The comedy white face might use colors more than red and black. The nose can either be painted on or false.
