Summing It Up

This website is based on the book Bridge to Terabithia by Katherine Paterson.

Jess loves to run and he had to be the fastest and best runner at Lark Creek Elementary. When he was challenged by a girl named Leslie Burke, it changed everything. Leslie was thought to be odd by some of the kids at school. Leslie and Jess soon became "Best Friends". Leslie was the one to think up Terabithia, where Leslie was queen and Jess was king. There weren't any enemies

 that could defeat them-not even their teacher, "Monster Mouth" Meyers, or their bullying schoolmates. Jess's friendship with Leslie and the worlds of imagination and learning that she opens up to him, changes him forever and allows him to put up with the unexpected tragedy that strikes them all. He feels like he lost a huge and major part of his life.
