Weapons and Wars

In 3,000 B.C., they had strict rules for fighting wars. The two armies had to fight in daylight. The warriors always had to fight on open ground, ambushes were not allowed. If one side was not ready, they had to wait until the other side was ready. A trumpet would be used to signal when the two sides were ready. When Ramses the third fought, there were mainly no rules.

During the 18th Dynasty, it was a perfect time for a career in the army.

Here are the axes they used for wars.

Here are the knives they also used.

These chariots were used by the pharaohs. They were also used by the archers who shot bows and arrows.

These are arrowheads that they used to stab people with.
