First you need to cut out a circle about 12 inches in diameter. Make sure you leave a hole for your neck and a slit so you can get it on.

Second, you cut out shapes and designs and lay them out on the collar to see how they look. It usually looks better when you make the design symmetrical.

You then glue the shapes and designs to the collar in the pattern you laid out.
