Terrorists attacked the United States of America on September 11, 2001 and at the same time managed to attack the world.   The terrorist attacks managed to frighten us, but then our resolve to protect the freedoms that make us American rose to make us stronger. We mourn the lost, but know that they would tell us to stand strong and turn our fear into action.

The streets that surround the World Trade Center are filled with people running to get away from the collapsing buildings. Policemen in danger, stop to encourage citizens as panic over the terror sets in.

Clouds of fire, ash, dust, and chunks of the collapsing buildings cover New York's business district. The rescue workers spend every minute hopeful that they will find someone alive in the debris. They work even though they have lost many friends in the tragedy.
