| Flight # 93 left Newark, New Jersey later than the terrorists expected it to. It was supposed to take off within minutes of the other hijacked flights, but it was delayed. Because of the delay, the passengers had more time to figure out what was going on in New York City and Washington, D.C. Another important fact is that one hijacker disguised himself as an airline pilot and the pilots of flight $93 did what they usually do with guest pilots. They invited him to fly with them in the cockpit. Later that terrorist let another terrorist inside the cockpit too. | ||
| Passengers aboard the plane began to receive phone calls from family and friends at home who knew of the plane crashes in New York City and Washington, D.C. When terrorists began to take over their flight the passengers pretty much knew what was going on. Rather than allow the terrorists to succeed in crashing flight #93 into another target, some of the men decided to take action and try to stop the hijacking. The flight crashed over Stoney Creek Township, Pennsylvania. The passengers had stopped the plane from being used as a bomb to destroy another target. All of the passengers were killed in the crash, but are heroes now because of their brave efforts. | ||
