Weather balloons carry a tiny weather station into weather systems. They send back information about wind speed, air pressure, relative humidity, and temperature back to weather scientists on the ground. These remote weather stations are set up in areas where severe weather is common. They take measurements of wind speed air pressure, relative humidity, and air temperature. These instruments are powered by solare energy.
