March 8, 1909   Forty-nine people were killed and 600 injured when this F-4 tornado hit Brinkley, Arkansas.
March 18, 1925   This tornado is called the Tri-state tornado because it stayed on the ground for 219 miles and moved at 69 miles per hour. The intensity and length of this storms track caused more damage and cost more than any other tornado of its time.

148 tornadoes touched down in 13 states. 348 people were killed and 5,484 were injured during this tornado outbreak. The damage path of these tornadoes covered 2,500 miles.

March 1, 1997   A stationary front brought severe tornadic weather from Texas to Virginia. Tornadoes touched down in Arkansas, Mississippi, Alabama, Georgia, South Carolina, and Tennessee. Sixty-seven people were killed by the F-4 tornadoes that formed from this severe weather system.

Oklahoma City, Oklahoma was hit by a series of tornadoes. During this tornado outbreak, 44 people were killed and 800 were injured.
