| Mix the egg yolks with a fork. Mix in
milk, corn, and melted shortening. Measure flour. Pour into a large mixing bowl. Add the
egg mixture to the flour. Stir until well blended. Beat egg
whites until they form stiff peaks. Fold the egg whites into the waffle batter.
Pour waffle batter onto a greased waffle baker. Close the lid and
bake. Waffles are done when the steam stops escaping from the sides. |
