John Reynolds Gardiner
John Reynolds Gardiner was born on December 6, 1944 in Los Angeles, California. Gardiner had a difficult time in school. He was told that his grammar and spelling were so poor that he would never do well in college English. He didn't even read his first novel until he was 19. When Gardiner was 28 years old, his brother convinced him to take a writing class because of his great imagination. Six years later Gardiner wrote Stone Fox. The book is doing so well that it is currently selling at a rate of 5,000 copies a month. It has also been translated into three foreign languages.
Gardiner has a Masters Degree in Engineering from the University of California in Los Angeles. He writes during his lunch breaks. He was written a number of books including Stone Fox, Top Secret, and General Butterfingers.
