The Egyptians strongly believed in many gods. One god would be in charge of something and another god in charge of something else. Some gods were worshiped in great temples all over the country, and some, only in their home town.
How did the Egyptians worship their gods? They prayed for a hour or so. Next, they bathed them in water. Then they would dry them. When they were done, they would give a plate of food to their gods. After they did that they would leave to let them eat in peace.
