The sign of Taoism is the yin-yang.  Taoism did not develop as an organized religion until the 100’s BC. It teaches two goals, immortality and happiness.
People believed in prayers, magic, breath control and meditation as well as a belief in astrology  and communication. The gods of Taoism look and act human. The gods are water god, earth god, god of agriculture and stove god kitchen god. There are 30 million people in the world that believe in Taoism, older family members like grandparents or parents give the children money on new years. Taoism shares with Confucianism and Buddhism. People do not attend a regularly scheduled worship service or have a statement of faith, do not believe in a Supreme Being or immortality of the soul. Tao or Dao means “The Way”.
