Abraham Lincoln was the 16th president of the United States.  He was born in Hardin County, Kentucky.  He served from 1861-1865 during the Civil War. He was married to Mary Todd, and helped his nation through the horrible complexion of the war.  He also helped slaves who worked in the confederate states (on the south coast) to be free.  He was to be assassinated while watching a show  in the evening of April 14, 1865 at Fords Theater
