Steel roller coasters are usually very cool and exciting because they can almost do whatever they want with them.  Steel roller coasters move just like wooden coasters except they go much faster than wooden.  Many steel roller coasters take many years to build. It takes a long time because they have a special way to design it.  Personally, I think steel coasters are better then wood coasters because you can make loops and corkscrews and other great features. Almost all roller coaster parks have steel roller coasters. Ken Dentin says the top steel roller coaster is Superman. It is also the fastest coaster in the world. Steel coasters are also better because they can go faster then wood. Also steel roller coasters can do loops. Most designers build little plastic models so when the builders come in they can actually see what  there about to build. But before they make a model, they design it on a computer program. When they do that they practically do anything they want with it. They have made a program in Disney World in a building called Disney Quest. This program is when there is a little computer and they have all different kinds of stunts on a coaster. One of them is a loop or a corkscrew or even when you go off a jump, do a flip and land but in reality that's almost impossible. But the more fun part comes next, now you get to go in a little simulator. When you get in a screen pops up in front of it and your ride of your life begins. The ride you are riding is the coaster you made. If you ever go there here's a tip when you make your coaster there will be choices on features of a roller coaster. Here's the tip some of them have DANGER under them always try to pick those or it's not worth it.
