Witches are one of the classic magical creatures. Everyone knows about these creatures who wear black cloaks and fly around on broomsticks. Until now, when for Halloween, many kids dress up as them, witches were not something to smile at. Many events happened like the Salem Witch Hunt of 1692 where many people who sometimes behaved suspiciously were found guilty of witchcraft and were either hanged, or burned at the stake. Throughout the Middle Ages this was common event. People tested to see if people were witches by taunting them.  If the witch used her powers to do something to them they were a witch.
