Leprechauns, the famous creature associated with
St. Patrick's Day, live in remote parts of Ireland. The name
leprechaun comes from the Irish word luchorpan, which means,
"little body." True to their name, leprechauns are very
small, with adult leprechauns being about two feet tall. Though many
leprechauns live in the Irish countryside, not many live in one
place because leprechauns are solitary creatures. They spend a lot
of time making shoes and if you are nearby, you can hear the light
tap that the leprechaun's hammer makes. Almost all leprechauns have
a pouch of gold that someone who catches them can possibly keep. But
to get the gold, the leprechaun's capturer must never look away from
the leprechaun or it will vanish. For a few leprechaun jokes
